China's military hacked into Pentagon computers in June

The Pentagon acknowledge that their computer system was attacked in June affecting even Defense Secretary Robert Gates computer. Officials have told the Financial Times that it most likely came from the Peoples Liberation Army.

Angela Merkel, Germany’s chancellor, raised this issue to Wen Jiabao, China's Premier, after its government computers were attacked. The Premier denied the accusations. It raises important concerns for the US showing that they can get hit pretty hard during crucial times. The PLA has been known to frequently attack the Defense Department and other important security related organizations but the attacks have become more and more sophisticated. The attacks have been becoming more and more sophisticated. There is “no doubt” that China was now monitoring email traffic on unclassified government networks." FT There are red flags everywhere.
