China involved in US Blackouts?

According to some US intelligence officials, there is belief that China might have played a role in the black out in the Northeast a few years ago, as well as the blackout that affected South Florida. They said that Chinese hackers have hacked into utility companies abroad, and if they could do it elsewhere why not in the US. It is believed they managed to gain access to US power grids in 2003. The government has blamed over grown trees on the Northeast Blackout but government officials have not denied Chinese involvement. The results of the South Florida have not yet been released.

The PLA and other Chinese organizations have been attacking US computers for years. They frequently attempt to access the computers of American Corporations and government agencies. Americans have been warned not lose sight of their computers when visiting China, since they are known to sabotaging them. There is an investigation going on now in regards to the Commerce Secretary's recent visit to China, in which his computer might have been compromised. National Journal

The fact the China has the power to cause black outs in the US is of major concern. It could also enable them to shutdown our nuclear facilities as well. The threat posed by China is only going to get greater in the ensuing decades.

Hezbollah's Take Over of Beirut is to Change American View of Lebanon

Hezbollah’s action in Lebanon over the past week, was Bashar Assad's message to the US that only Syria in Lebanon can restrain Hezbollah. The Syrians know that this is the view adhered by Israel and wants the US to also take that view. Syria knew that Bush would be in Israel while Israel celebrated its 60th year anniversary .Its no secret that the Syrians and Israelis have been holding peace talks in recent days. During these talks the Lebanon dossier has been discussed and of course Syria wants to strengthen its influence there. Israel does not have a problem with that. The US is the major stumbling block in that regard. Bush's policy is to try to keep Syria out of Lebanon. There is a possibility that the US is trying to stop the peace talks. Its prolly not a coincidence that the peace talks were going on when the Bush admininstration showed evidence that Syria was trying to build a nuclear weapons facility that was bombed by the Israelis. Since the operation was conducted by the Israelis it was strange that they were not a part of this presentation. According to Stratfor, the Israelis did not want the Bush Administration to present anything that would embarrass Syria. Assad probably thought it was time to ratchet it up pressure against the Pro-Western government in Lebanon and show that Hezbollah is the boss of Lebanon.

Iranian MPs' Condemn Khatami's Remarks about Armed Force

Conservative hardliners in the Iranian Parliament condemned former president Mohammed Khatami's remarks at a university the other day. Khatami said the the founder of the Islamic Republic Ayotollah Khomeini, did not want to export the Islamic Revolution with armed force. The MPs accused Khatami of threatening national security and launched a complaint against him at the Intelligence Ministry. He spoke about this on friday when the Shite group Hezbollah seized control of half of Beirut, which may lead to civil war in Lebanon. The Sadrist militia in Iraq and Hamas in Gaza are other current examples of Iran influencing events in other countries. The former president denied that he was referring to Iranian foreign policy.
"Did he mean that we take up arms, that we blow up places in other nations
and we create groups to carry out sabotage in other countries? The Imam was
vehemently against this and was confronting it," BBC.
